The deposit is located in the Ust-Tsilemsky district of the Komi Republic; it is the largest in Russia in terms of reserves and resources of titanium and quartz (glass) raw materials.
Since 2011, the RUSSIAN TITANIUM RESOURCES Group of Companies has been implementing a large infrastructure project for the construction of a vertically integrated mining and metallurgical complex for processing titanium ores and quartz (glass) sandstone of the Pizhemskoye deposit.
The Pizhemskoye deposit development project is included in the Strategy for the Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation and Ensuring National Security for the Period up to 2035, approved by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated October 26, 2020 No. 645.
